Description: |
SUK1 and HGS1 are chatting before a elicitation session. HGS1 tells SUK1 about various health issues and doctor's visits,
her experiences of working alone on a field off the main roads and how scary this sometimes is, and about the starchiness
of persimmon fruit, for which she uses the typically Jejuan word t͡ɕolakt͡ɕita (조락지다). She also tells him about her feeling
uncomfortable when having to sing in public. Three files have been merged using Tsmuxer 2.6.12 here, however, only jeju0160-01
and jeju0160-02 were contiguous recordings, and jeju01603-03 was re-started manually. However, the bump between the end of
jeju0160-02 and jeju0160-03 is only minimal, which is why all the three files were put together. jeju0160-04 is only 4 minutes
long, since the battery went off.
This project aims at building an annotated audio-video corpus of spoken Jejuan with a focus on conversational genres, supplementing
existing documentation of narratives and songs.
